Holiday Hockey for a Cause!

Our annual Thanksgiving Charity Hockey Tournament was put on hold this year… until now.
We recently learned that Roger Allcroft is courageously battling colon cancer, and our hockey community is coming together to help.

Join us 2 days after Christmas for a special tournament where 100% of proceeds go directly to the Allcroft family. Roger was the founder and Captain of the Tropics back when the Tropics played in North Smithfield. Roger even created a few TV Shows featuring Tropics Hockey!

Saturday, December 27, 2025
1:00 PM-5:00 PM (or earlier depending on number of teams)
Lynch Arena, 25 Andrew Ferland Way, Pawtucket, RI
You do NOT need a team for the tournament – Register Individually
Up to 9 players and 1 goalie per team with some exceptions as needed
3 on 3 cross ice tournament
All players will need to bring both a light and dark jersey
$100 donation per player
Proceeds go directly to the Allcroft family.
Players will be assigned teams at the rink or a few days prior (possible exceptions for players that want to play together)
Register early and get a free long sleeve tournament t-shirt before they run out
Donations also accepted

Additional Company T-Shirt Sponsorships available for $500 with your company name and logo on the back of the shirts. Also accepting Raffle Donations (Gift Cards, Gift Baskets, Company Product or Services, etc.)

Do I need to be on a team to play?

No. Teams will be assigned just prior to the event. Everyone registers individually.

I want to play on the same team as a few other players. Is that possible?

Yes – Just add in the notes who you want to play with and provided it doesn’t make the team too unbalanced, you will be placed on the same team.

Can I bring an entire team?

Yes, however, we may occasionally need to move a few players to help balance the skill level. Everyone registers individually, so just note who you want to play with.

Will There be Goalies?

Yes

I plan on going out later Saturday night. Will I still have time?

Yes. This tournament will burn 13% more calories than you plan to consume later in the night.

Do I need a Team Jersey?

No – You will need to bring both a Dark and Light Jersey. If you forget, we should be able to provide one but will lightly chastise you.

Will there be any food or drinks at the rink?

Yes – Not sure what it will be this year but yes.

What if I need to leave early or come a little later than the start time?

No problem – Just put some notes in the registration or email and we can accommodate it.

Are Spectators Allowed?

Absolutely!
